Joe Biden: “I’m going to creepily whisper in Trump’s ear at the debate”
In a joint statement from the Biden campaign and Mountain Dew, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will creepily whisper in McDonald’s 25 th top customer, President Donald J. Trump’s ear during the 2020 Presidential Debate being held in Buford, Wyoming. This tactic is part of Biden’s “Dew it or lose it” strategy aimed to lure in on-the-fence voters and gamers.
“We believe this strategy will lure in on-the-fence voters and gamers” says Biden Campaign Manager Jennifer O’Malley Dillon in a recent statement to PCGamer.com.
American gamers have long been one demographic that the Biden campaign has struggled to reign in. Many find that Joe Biden’s radical statement “I don’t really care if women are in video games, doesn’t bother me as long as the story and gameplay are good,” is the cause of the struggles that exist in this demographic. Biden’s statement famously comes from his joint “Last of Us 2” Let’s Play with former president Barack Obama.
Despite Trump’s statements regarding violent video games being the cause of real-world violence, he still has a hold on the gamer demographic. Many believe this is because Trump is low-key pretty sick at COD and people have played with him in-game, while others believe that it’s because Trump doesn’t think women should be in any video games or even anywhere but beneath him (and underneath). In regards to Trump’s statement on violent video games, I would just like to say that as someone who has played many violent video games, I have never committed more than two violent felonies (one of those times being right after a heated gaming moment where my team in Overwatch blamed me for costing us the first round when I had all gold as Zenyatta but they were a nasty five stack and were blaming me even though I had ALL GOLD AS ZENYATTA).
Only time will tell if the Biden campaign’s tactic will prove to be beneficial. If Joe Biden is able to capture the hearts (all three) and controllers of the gamer demographic, he may have a chance to defeat Donald Trump. The gamer demographic once again is proving to be one of, if not the most crucial demographic for a presidential election.
